Consider this your brunch intervention. Ditch your current rotation of Le Peep, Farmhouse and The Cellar – it’s time to try something new. Step outside of your brunch comfort zone, because from Boltwood to Sarki’s, Northwestern’s brunch offerings are as diverse as its course catalog.
Evanston has an option for whatever state you’re in, whether you’re trying to impress your parents or you’re still wearing last night’s outfit. Put on something presentable, grab your #squad and take an Advil if you need one – the eggs and bacon you need aren’t going to come to you.

Peeled Juice Bar
Healthy ingredients like goji berries, flax meal, and ginger might compensate for the fact that you ate a whole Sarpino's pizza last night. You'll probably want everyone to know you're being #healthy, so throw on a pair of lululemon leggings and Instagram a closeup shot of your acai bowl with a self-deprecating caption about what a #basicbitch you are. #LOL!

Bat 17
You probably love Bat 17's piled-high burgers, bigger-than-your-face sandwiches, and sweet potato waffle fries. But you've probably never tried their all-day breakfast, complete with free coffee. Go for the Blueberry Muffin French Toast - it's exactly what it sounds like, and you won't regret it.

Boltwood
This farm-to-table spot just recently started serving brunch, which is super exciting because it's owned by the former head chef at The Publican. And The Publican's brunch is dope. Go for the Sourdough Pancakes or the Boltwood Burger - you're guaranteed to love either. An added bonus, Boltwood's brunch menu has tons of gluten-free options.

Peckish Pig
Peckish Pig is outside of the typical Northwestern student's walking zone, but it's totally worth the trek - especially for craft-beer lovers. Their hand-crafted beers are brewed on-site, and pair perfectly with their menu's diverse smoked meat offerings.

Delbe's Corner Cafe
Delbe's is one of the only places to get a good breakfast sandwich in Evanston. If you're craving bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel, run, don't walk, to Delbe's. Or, if you're too dead to leave the confines of your bedroom, Postmate Delbe's to your doorstep in order to avoid all contact with the outside world.

Sarki's
Sure, there are pancakes on the menu, but Sarki's is known for their omelettes, so it's pretty weird if you order anything other than eggs. It's definitely too far to walk to, but the fit-for-a-caveman portions are worth the 5 minute Uber. Heads up, Sarki's is cash only.

La Macchina
It's pretty underrated that La Macchina has dope pasta and $2 mimosas and bellinis (they're $10 a pitcher). That said, brunch there can get weird when you start having flashbacks about that time you danced on the very tables upon which you are currently eating eggs.

Walker Brothers Pancake House
Ok, so technically Walker Brothers isn't in Evanston. But you can't call yourself a real Northwestern student if you haven't made the journey to the Wilmette pancake house that Mean Girls made famous. Use the two gift certificates you won when you were crowned Spring Fling Queen/King and get yourself an order of Chocolate Chippies.

Hoosier Mama Pie Company + Dollop Coffee
You'll be surrounded by a combination of sorority girls Instagramming tablescapes of pie and lattes, furiously typing pseudo-hipster grad students, and the occasional (and elusive) adult Evanston resident. But, the pie is mouthwatering and the coffee menu is extensive, so grab a seat at the communal table and bask in the glory that is floor-to-ceiling windows.
