In case you haven’t heard, a new coffee shop opened up this spring next to the Seminary Co-op, and it raises the bar for coffee shops across campus. This coffee shop is known as Plein Air, and it is a French atelier-inspired cafe and eatery.
The question, however, is whether or not you will convert from the coffee shop you already frequent, and my guess is probably not. You know what I’m talking about. With seven coffee shops just on the Main Quad alone, UChicago possesses a vibrant coffee culture. The students tend to visit their coffee shops of choice ritualistically, yet is the most convenient one also your perfect match? Take this quiz to find out:
The answer is:
Plein Air

The answer is:
Grounds of Being: The Divinity School Coffee Shop
This coffee shop is a hidden gem on campus, but you like that. Less crowds. They have all of your favorite obscure snacks and foods, such as 10 different types of ginger beer alone. You recognize other fellow Div School dwellers around campus by their colorful coffee cups and "Where God Drinks Coffee" paraphernalia. Oh, and you're always carrying cash.
The answer is:
Barnes & Noble Bookstore Cafe
Like most UChicago students, you're a busy person. But hey, you're busier than the rest of us. Your days are usually pretty packed, but when you have ten minutes, an hour or two you head to the Bookstore Cafe. You're either a food truck connoisseur or you just eye them daily. You know that they have a way better candy selection than Bartmart, and the employees know your drink order to.
The answer is:
C-Shop
Whether it's in the morning or mid-afternoon, you tend to like some socializing with your coffee. Or, maybe you just want a bagel. In any case, you know that C-Shop has the best seasonal coffee flavors, the most carb-o-licious treats to accompany your cup, and your favorite place to study, the coveted booths.
The answer is:
Cobb Coffee Shop
You don't just want a cup of coffee, you want a little bit of spunk as well. Cobb Coffee Shop has a lot of personality, and you like that about it. The space gives off an eclectic vibe with drawings, murals and collages scattered around the walls. Although very centrally located, the Cobb Coffee Shop has its own community of cliental as opposed to a rapid turnover of foot traffic. Oh, and you know that this is the only place where you can still get Fun Dip and Pop Rocks easily.
The answer is:
ex Libris Cafe
Whether you're running down from the stacks for a cup of joe, or you are parked at a table with a yogurt and some headphones, this is your small oasis in the Reg. The ex Libris atmosphere is soothing but not too comfortable that it puts you to sleep. You always have a lot of work to do, or at least you think that you do.
