Even though summer 2024 has been full of back-to-back heatwaves, there are tell-tale signs that fall is in the air: Starbucks is rumored to be dropping their iconic Pumpkin Spice Latte on August 22; Reese’s shapes are shifting from medals to pumpkins, and 7-Eleven even released a pumpkin-flavored Slurpee. And, as of today, it’s officially autumn at Krispy Kreme, as the brand announced the return of the fan-favorite Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnut and Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Let’s get into the Pumpkin Spice menu items.

Krispy Kreme

Available at participating shops for a limited time, the Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnut is among Krispy Kreme’s most anticipated seasonal offerings – glazed, old fashioned, and the perfect combination of crumbly cake and pumpkin spice flavor. The quintessential fall doughnut can be purchased individually and as a specialty dozen.

If you’re not into doughnuts, or simply want to hold on to the cooler sips of summer while they last, Krispy Kreme’s classic Pumpkin Spice Latte is also returning to stores on August 12. The chain’s version of the PSL is made fresh-to-order, and topped with whipped cream and pumpkin spice seasoning. Plus, it’s available hot, iced or frozen.

Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme Global Chief Brand Officer, also said that Krispy Kreme is “not done spicing up the season,” said in a statement about the fall flavor drop. I’m personally hoping that the return of the Pumpkin Cheesecake Swirl Doughnut (which released last year) is imminent.

Krispy Kreme’s Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnut and Pumpkin Spice Latte are available in-shop and for pickup or delivery via Krispy Kreme’s app and website. Guests can also enjoy Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnuts in a Krispy Kreme 6-pack delivered fresh daily to select retailers.
