If you had to choose what your last meal would be, would you know what to eat? As food lovers, we are often asked what our favorite food is, and my answer is always a laundry list of options. Maybe my mother’s homemade red sauce? A cheesy slice of pizza? A nice juicy steak? Or a greasy burger? It’s time to get existential.

The answer is:
Pizza
Your last bite will be pizza. This beloved classic has satisfied the hearts and stomachs of first dates, drunken nights, office parties, and Netflix marathons everywhere. And now, it will be there to comfort you during your last hours on Earth. If that combination of cheese, sauce, and bread isn't enough (I don't know why it wouldn't be), be bold with your topping choices. Go for that pineapple and don't be afraid of those anchovies.
The answer is:
Cheeseburger
Your last meal will be a cheeseburger. This American classic won't disappoint your dying tastebuds. Bite through that fluffy brioche bun into layers of tangy toppings and a juicy, meat filled center... You'll completely forget that this is your last meal. For added decadence, ask for a fried egg on top.
The answer is:
Lobster
So you have a taste for the finer things in life, huh? Your last meal will be a lobster. This crustacean is sure to bring you sweet, tender bliss in every bite as you spend your last moments on earth. The harder the lobster shell, the more meat in the lobster.
The answer is:
Spaghetti
You-a-like-a-some-a-spaghetti. The classic red sauce and noodles from your childhood will be there once again as you spend your last moments on earth. Be sure to cook your spaghetti al dente (cooked, but still firm) and don't fall victim to that jar of Prego or Ragu. Go call your Italian grandmother (or any Italian grandmother) and get that recipe before it's too late.
The answer is:
Ribeye Steak
It's clear that you're not leaving this world without sinking your teeth into a huge hunk of meat. Your last meal will be a ribeye steak. If you are unsure of how to cook this baby properly, here's a little test. First, make a fist. Then, touch the area between your index finger and thumb with you opposite hand. Squeeze hard, if the steak feels like this, then it is cooked to "well done." Now, slightly release your squeeze, this is the "medium" temperature of doneness. Release all the way and that will give you the "rare" temperature of doneness. Cool, huh?
The answer is:
Fried Chicken
You just love the crunchy, crispy texture of some fried chicken. It doesn't matter if it's the wing, the breast, or the leg, you'd eat the whole bird if you could. It's not hard to understand why this finger-lickin' classic will be your last meal. Here's a tip if you are frying the chicken yourself and you are looking for that crispy skin: do not crowd the pan or fryer. Leave enough breathing space for each piece to cook evenly. This way, the oil will maintain it's temperature and crisp that skin up in no time.
The answer is:
Sushi
Your last meal will be sushi. Whether you choose the classic California roll, the dragon roll, or the go-to spicy tuna roll, your tastebuds will be pleasantly satisfied. Thin slices of fish rolled into salty seaweed and fluffy rice paired with precise cuts of crunchy and creamy vegetables. The sheer variety of textures alone will be enough to please your final whims. And if you've always wanted to try that obscure Nagoya roll or dynamite roll, now is the time. Don't be afraid to order that sushi boat.
