Here at Spoon University, we have a pretty deep love for the Food Network. Alex Guarnascelli is our role model. We were psyched when Jonathan Bennett (aka Aaron Samuels) joined the channel. And after 24 seasons, we still love everything about Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.
We just can’t decide who we love the most. If you’re like us, maybe this quiz can help. (P.S. Check out Spoon University on Food Network’s Snapchat Discover Channel every Saturday!)
The answer is:
Curtis Stone
Curtis Stone is a serious hunk with a seriously amazing passion for cooking. He got interested in cooking after growing up watching his grandmother make her famous fudge. He appeared on several UK cooking shows before making his way over to Food Network as host of Beach Eats USA and Kitchen Inferno. He's a hard worker with a sweet love for family. Oh, and he's Australian.
The answer is:
Guy Fieri
You're in for one awesome ride with this man (and in his Camaro too, you lucky duck!). The host of Triple D is pretty much a rock star, who's been a part of Food Network since his first show, Guy's Big Bite premiered in 2006. He's laid-back, but that doesn't mean he's not a hard worker. He sold pretzels and washed dishes from the time he was ten, so he'd have the chance to study as an exchange student in French kitchens.
The answer is:
Alex Guarnaschelli
Seriously, Alex Guarnaschelli is a badass. She's a judge on Chopped and has her own shows, Alex's Day Off and The Cooking Loft. She's worked in Michelin-starred restaurants and often found herself the only woman in the kitchen. Not only that but she was the one running a Savoy kitchen in France, being in charge of 10 young, male cooks. Yeah, she's definitely a serious badass.
The answer is:
Alton Brown
You like your men a little dorky, but with a flair for romance. Alton Brown's got that covered. He would often cook for his dates in college, in hopes to impress them. He loves the science of food as much as he likes the taste of it. He created Good Eats, a show that blended food science and pop culture and won him a Peabody Award for excellence in broadcast news and entertainment. Today, you can catch his wonderfully dorky self on Cutthroat Kitchen.
The answer is:
Cat Cora
Like Cat, when someone says you can't do something, you make it your mission to prove them wrong. Cat made television history in 2005 when she became the first female Iron Chef. But she doesn't just work in the kitchen. She has an iPad app, which simplifies meal prep, two shoe lines and a line of cookware. She's a jack of all trades.
The answer is:
Jonathan Bennett
You've got a sweet tooth. So does Jonathan! As the new host of Cake Wars, he's been some serious eye candy. But don't go thinking he's just a pretty face (like Regina George did in Mean Girls). He's a talented actor who has been working in front of and behind the camera since 2003.
The answer is:
Bobby Flay
At age eight, despite his father's objections, Bobby Flay asked for an Easy Bake Oven. Today he's one of the most popular chefs in America. He's hosted 13 cooking shows on the Food Network. He's won several Daytime Emmys. He owns horses and serves on the Breeder's Cup Board of Directors. He's written 12 cookbooks and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Is there anything this man can't do? (P.S. Check out those baby blues!)
The answer is:
Jamie Oliver
Today, Jamie Oliver hosts Jamie at Home and Jamie's Food Escapes, but he's much more than a television host. He focuses charity and recognizing much needed health changes on a personal and governmental level. He was voted the Most Inspiring Political Figure of 2005 in Britain.
