20 Layer Multicolor Nutella Crepe Cake
- Prep Time:15 mins
- Cook Time:40 mins
- Total Time:55 mins
- Servings:8
- Medium
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 cups milk
- 8 large eggs
- 8 Tbsp unsalted butter melted plus more for the pan
- 2 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 Tbsp granulated sugar
- Red food coloring
- Nutella
- Strawberries
Ingredients
-
Step 1
Mix the first 6 ingredients in a large bowl in the order that they are listed (water, milk, eggs, butter, flour, sugar).
-
Step 2
Divide the batter into 3 bowls.
-
Step 3
Add about 5 drops of food coloring into one bowl and 10 drops of food coloring into another bowl. You should have 3 different colored batters now.
-
Step 4
Heat a medium non-stick pan over medium heat. Rub butter on the bottom of the pan.
-
Step 5
Pour batter from the bowl into the pan until the batter completely covers the bottom of the pan. Swirl the pan so that the batter evenly covers the surface.
-
Step 6
Cook for about 30 seconds on each side or until both sides are golden brown.
-
Step 7
Repeat steps 5 and 6 until the batter runs out. You should have around 20 crepes at the end.
-
Step 8
Refrigerate the crepes for about 30 minutes so that the Nutella won't melt between the crepes. I divided my stack of crepes into 2 plates to cool the crepes faster.
-
Step 9
Spread Nutella in between each layer of crepe and stack the crepes, forming the layers.
-
Step 10
Refrigerate the crepe cake again so that the Nutella firms up and the cake is easier to cut.
-
Step 11
Add strawberries to the top for decoration and enjoy!
I personally like eating this cake warm by putting it in the microwave for about 30 seconds and then adding a scoop of ice cream.
