Today, as I was walking around campus minding my own business, I came to a corner where a troop of Girl Scouts were selling cookies. After weeks of avoiding their sweet, entrepreneurial glares, I was forced to come face to face with a little girl who asked me flat out: “Would you like to buy some Girl Scout cookies?”
I was trapped. The light had just turned red and I couldn’t cross the street and say what I normally would, “sorry, I’m in a rush.” There was nowhere to run.
Now totally cornered, I asked the little girl which Girl Scout cookie is her favorite, and she told me “Samoas.” So, I picked up a box, paid the $4, and darted across the street to avoid being hustled by one of her manipulative Girl Scout friends.
I figured that since I already bought the cookies, I might as well put them to good use. That’s when it hit me: I should replace the classic Oreos with Samoas and make some Slutty Brownies. Boy, was that a great choice. They were absolutely unreal and totally worth the embarrassment of being conned by some little girls.
