Ah, ramen. A college student's best friend. But did you know that you can transform your favorite late-night microwave meal into a delicious dorm-friendly dessert recipe? Say hello to chocolate haystacks.
This easy, no-bake dessert is based on a simple butterscotch haystacks recipe. The best part is that you can mix-in whatever you like and make it your own! The haystacks above have pretzels and marshmallows. (Find more mix-in suggestions at the end of this article.)
Chocolate Haystacks

- 1 12-ounce bag semi-sweet chocolate chips OR white chocolate chips OR butterscotch chips
- 2 4-ounce individually wrapped instant ramen packages
- Your favorite mix-ins
Ingredients

Step 1
Slightly open each ramen package and remove/discard seasoning packets. Press on the package with your hand repeatedly to crush the noodles until no large clumps are left. Set aside.

Pour chocolate/white chocolate/butterscotch chips into medium-sized microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on MEDIUM-HIGH HEAT (60-70% power) for 1 minute then stir. Continue warming in 15 to 30-second intervals and stirring until fully melted.

Stir desired mix-ins and crushed ramen noodles into melted chocolate. (You can find mix-in suggestions at end of article)

Scoop 2-3 inch wide portions onto a flat baking sheet lined with wax paper or foil.

Refrigerate haystacks for 10-15 minutes, until firm. Then enjoy!
