This is a fast and simple recipe that doesn't require too much focus, so it could easily be made by someone who has already started partying.
If you don't already have a cast-iron skillet, the one used in this recipe was $20 from Target. They're durable and can be used in many ways, so I personally believe that they're a good investment. If you're looking for an adventure, less expensive, but equivalent quality, skillets can sometimes be found at second-hand shops.

- 1/2 cup butter room temp
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips and more for sprinkling
- Caramel and chocolate syrup optional

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 10" cast-iron skillet with cooking spray.

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars with a hand mixers until light and fluffy.

Beat in egg and vanilla.

Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until just combined.

Mix in chocolate chips.

Spread dough into skillet in an even-ish layer. Top with more chocolate chips and sprinkle flaky sea salt. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
